Obituary for William D. "Bill" Fisher

William D. “Bill” Fisher, 61, of Imperial, North Fayette Township, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in his home. 

Bill was born on December 5, 1961, in Pittsburgh, a son of the Frances (Campbell) Fisher of North Fayette and the late John “Fred” Fisher. 

Mr. Fisher received his associates degree in engineering from Penn State Beaver. After receiving his degree, Bill went on to serve in the United States Air Force for 14 years. He was a dedicated airman to his fellow brother and sisters and his country. After his time in the service, Bill worked as a mail man for the Weirton Postal Service.

Bill’s favorite activities were those when he could be outdoors. He spent most of his free time camping, boating and fishing. Bill loved having cookouts with his family. Being a father to his only daughter and a grandfather to his three grandkids, was the most important role in his life. Bill also shared his heart with his pet, Major and his late dog, General. He shared a special bond with these 2 pups and loved them dearly. 

Surviving is his daughter, Dana (Tim) Woodhall, his 3 grandchildren,  siblings, Nina (Norman) Bucklen, Fred (late Carmen) Fisher, Dale Fisher, Warren (Susan) Fisher.

Inurnment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
