Obituary for Thomas A. Phillips

Thomas A. Phillips, 76, of Venice Florida, passed away on November 11, 2021, in Florida. Thomas was born on April 4, 1945, in Coraopolis, a son of the late Harris and Vesta (McElhaney) Phillips.

Mr. Phillips was a graduate of West Allegheny School District. After graduating high school, Tom went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Pittsburgh. Using the knowledge that he gained from his schooling, Mr. Phillips started his own business, Thomas A. Phillips and Associates, where he worked as an information systems consultant. There he belonged to many different clubs and participated in all the church events he could. He loved his church and his family very much. Being an active part of his wife, children’s, and grandchildren’s lives was very important to him.

Surviving is his wife, Darlene E. (Campbell) Phillips, his sons, Thomas A. (Roxanne) Phillips, Jr., and James L. (Kelly Williams) Phillips, and his grandchildren, Ashley Lynn, Courtney Ann, and Karen Jo Phillips, siblings, Pat (Sam) Dugan, and Eileen (Frank) Rumsey.

Along with his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, Harris (Edna Mae) Phillips and Clarence (Joannie) Phillips.
