Obituary for Thomas M. "Tom" Lucas

Thomas “Tom” M. Lucas, 71, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, in St. Clair Hospital.

Tommy was born on October 7, 1950, in Midway, the son of the late Mike and Julia (Sember) Lucas.

Tom was a machinist for General Electric and Bridgeville Glass for quite some time. Although he loved his work, being a family man was the most important part of his life. Being a husband and father and grandfather were a priority for him. He loved hunting, taking his grandsons fishing, and watching his kids and grandsons play sports. When it was time for a family dinner, Tom was in the kitchen making pies to feed all of his family. There was never a time that he told someone no, in fact he was the type of person to always lend a helping hand to others. There are no words to describe how much his family will miss him, but through the love and memories they have, Tom lives on in each one of them.

Surviving is his loving wife, MaryAnn (Bezek) Lucas, children, Dana Lucas, Tina (Brett) Fowler, Michael Lucas, and Anna Lucas, grandsons, Lucas and Benjamin, and sisters, Barb (Jim Morgan) Eli and Janet (Carl) Zeno, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave. (724-926-2800). A service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery, Midway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Washington County Humane Society, in memory of Tom.
