Obituary for Thomas J. "Tom" Ford

Thomas J. Ford, 80, of McDonald, North Fayette Township, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, in Country Meadows, Bridgeville.

Tom was born on February 8, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frank and Rose (Pelegreno) Ford.

Mr. Ford was a retired salesman in the food industry and a member of St. Kieran’s Catholic Church in Lawrenceville. Over the years Tom became an avid traveler, taking lots of road trips to wherever his car would lead him. Tom was also an avid sports fan, he loved to play and watch any sport he could. Tom especially loved playing softball and football. His true passion was football though. He enjoyed playing and watching his son and grandson play football. He was so proud of his son and grandchildren and the lives that they have created for themselves. Tom loved his family more than anything. Spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren was truly his favorite place to be. The love and laughter that was shared between Tom and his family are what will keep his memory alive for eternity.

Surviving is his son, Timothy (Brenda) Ford, grandchildren, Matthew and Breanna Ford and brother, Raymond (Sheila) Ford.

Along with his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Ford and Rose Ford.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 9 a.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish – St. Patrick’s Church, 7322 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. in the church. Following the Mass, a light reception will be held in the church hall.
