Obituary for Susan Rae Keefer (Brown)
Susan Rae (Brown) Keefer, 78, of Bridgeville, PA, formerly of Sturgeon, PA passed away on, Sunday, February 20, 2022, after a short illness.
Mrs. Keefer was born on July 1, 1943, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late, Raymond and Adele (Lienard) Brown.
Susan taught high school Social Studies & Economics for 35 years in the West Seneca School District, NY. She was a dedicated teacher and loved inspiring her students. She also spent numerous hours doing volunteer work, especially with her church food pantry and Global Links. When Susan found time in her busy life, she enjoyed taking a break with a good book in her hand. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. They were her whole world and always brought a smile to her face.
Surviving is her son; Scott (Maureen) Keefer, grandchildren, Alyssa and Alison Keefer, brothers, Dennis (Marsha) Brown, William D. (Christine) Brown, and Robert D. (Nancy) Brown), as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert T. Keefer, Jr. (2006).
Friends and family will be received on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 3-7 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Service will be held at Unity Presbyterian Church, 1146 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Church Food Pantry, 1146 Greentree Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
