Obituary for Shirley Ann Shoemaker (Dalverny)
Shirley Ann (Dalverny) Shoemaker, 86 of Park Forest, IL, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 in her home.
Shirley was born on August 18, 1935 in Bulger, a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline (Lescovitz) Dalverny.
Mrs. Shoemaker was a homemaker all her life and a member of St. Ann’s Church. She loved spending time in her kitchen baking and cooking for her whole family. You never left Shirley’s house hungry, especially during Christmas and Easter time. Shirley enjoyed the Christmas and Easter season and all the cooking, baking and family time that came with it. These joyous holiday seasons filled Shirley with so much happiness. Being around her loved ones and celebrating with them was what she loved most.
Surviving is her loving husband, Price A. Shoemaker, III, children; Price A. Shoemaker, IV, Michael Shoemaker, Frank Shoemaker, and Daniel Shoemaker, grandchildren; Jodi Appel, Joseph Shoemaker, Price Shoemaker, V, Jennifer Shoemaker, Jamie Shoemaker, Justin Shoemaker, Heidi Shoemaker, Rachael and Rebecca Shoemaker.
Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her sister, June Schollaert.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John St., Midway (724-796-3301). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Bulger. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery, Midway.
