Obituary for Sally Annette Mehalic (Richardson)

Sally Annette (Richardson) Mehalic, 66, of Oakdale, North Fayette Twp., formerly of McDonald, passed away on October 22, 2021, in her home.

Sally was born on June 14, 1955, a daughter of Vivian (Fileger) Richardson and the late Leo Richardson.

Sally was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She always made sure there was time for her family, as they were the most important people in her life. Her family filled her home with lots of laughter and love that can never be replaced and now holds a special place in their hearts. Sally held the special title of “Super Grammie”, being a grandmother, was the most important role of her life. She cherished the time she would spend with her grandchildren. Whether it was babysitting or just a phone call, those moments filled her heart with so much love. She loved to read and travel as much as she could, and often would travel to see her grandkids.

Along with her mother surviving are her children, Grant (Mechelle) Prosperi of Houston, Clint (Kathleen) Prosperi of Oakdale, and Clay (Stacy) Prosperi of Fortworth,Texas, grandchildren, Rylee Kay, Colton, Jaxon, Declan, Trent, and Chase Prosperi, and Darrin and Conner Niemeyer, siblings, Karen (Kenneth) Brown, Marsha (Dan) Huck, Susan (Jon) Stankowski, and Alan Richardson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis H. Mehalic (2006) and her father.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
