Obituary for Ronald Lloyd Thompson Jr.
Ronald Lloyd Thompson, Jr., 64, of Weirton, WV, passed away on, Saturday, January 15, 2022 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Ron was born on May 24, 1957 in Weirton, West Virginia, a son of the late Ronald L. and Bess M. (Mercer) Thompson Sr.
He graduated from Brooke High School in 1976. After high school he went to West Virginia University and graduated in 1980. He attended several banking schools after graduating. He got his CPA in 1984. He worked in banking and finance for 40 years. He retired from First United National Bank in Fryburg, Pennsylvania where he was a Chief Financial Officer for 20 years.
He was also a Deputy Grand Master at the Odd Fellow Lodge in Colliers, West Virginia.
Ron and Tina married on August 29, 1992. They have 2 children Stacy Bish (Mike Bish) and William Jordan (Marlyn Jordan). They have 5 grand children, Dalton Bish, Jaida Bish, Ava Jordan, Leila Jordan, and Khloe Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his mother Bess Thompson and Father Ronald Thompson, Sr. and a sister Barbara Martinez. He is survived by his brother Tim Thompson (Angie Thompson) of Follansbee, West Virginia, sister Marlene Bower of Bloomingdale, Ohio, and a brother Mark Thompson of Weirton, West Virginia and also several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald.
