Obituary for Ronald Edward "Ron" DeMark

Ronald Edward “Ron” DeMark, 83, of Oakdale, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at ProMedica, Bethel Park.

Ron was born on September 28, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Edward and Lucy (Herman) DeMark.

Mr. DeMark was a retired millwright for LTV Steel and a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Noblestown. Ron was a unique man with many characteristics that a lot of people today just don’t have. You never had to wonder what Ron was thinking because he always told you, even when it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. Running his own business this trait came in handy multiple times. Another helpful tool of Ron’s was being able to find just about everything on clearance, especially at Walmart. Rule of thumb was if Ron didn’t have it, they didn’t make it. Ron was the owner of R & B Car Wash in North Fayette. He loved cars and keeping and caring for them. Ron’s wife, Eileen was his number one, but his classic cars came in a close second. Ron enjoyed being active, whether it was working on his cars, at the car wash, hunting or fishing, he enjoyed going. When his children were born he enjoyed being a part of their lives and activities. When the time came for them to be put to work, Ron had no trouble doing that. Ron and his wife instilled their hard working characteristics into their children, making them the people they are today. The moment Ron became a grandfather his whole life was complete. Ron was an outstanding husband and father, but an even better “Pap”. He loved his family the more than words could even express and even more than his classic cars.

Surviving is his loving wife, Eileen (Shadish) DeMark, children, Lisa (Jason) Keibler and Brian (Jacqueline) DeMark, grandchildren, Tyler, Hayley and Gia Keibler and Gunner DeMark, and sister, Carol Rizzo.

Along with his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Donald DeMark.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale (724-693-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, St Patrick’s Worship Site, 7322 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212, in memory of Ron.
