Mr. Newton worked most of his life as a social worker in Jamaica. In his younger years, Roland enjoyed playing cricket, soccer and running track. Roland was very social and loved catching up with family and friends on the phone or having them all over to visit. He was known to be a joker and always had the room in stitches from laughter. His favorite time of year was the Christmas season. Roland loved the ambiance of the Christmas lights, having all of his family under one roof and of course the food. He always had a big smile waiting for you when you entered his home. It was the perfect welcome.
