Obituary for Robert "Pepsi Bob" A. Lankemeyer

Robert A. “Pepsi Bob” Lankemeyer, 69, formerly of Oakdale, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in, Quality Life Services – Sugar Creek.

Bob was born on December 29, 1953, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Robert L. and Ruth (Boardman) Lankemeyer.

Bob was a retired truck driver for Pepsi-Cola CO. for numerous years. His iconic nickname “Pepsi Bob” gave way to the legend that Bob was in his small town of Oakdale. Everyone knew his name; he was one of those old-time guys that the town loved. You would often see Bob walking around Oakdale, making his usual run around town and checking in on all the locals. His little town was never too small for Bob. All the people that he loved lived right there and his town sure loved him. When he needed to switch up from his lap around town, Bob headed to the casino. He enjoyed gathering there with all his buddies from town and as soon as his time at the casino was done, back to Oakdale he went.

Surviving is his sister, Nancy Jerome and former wife and friend, Marilyn Lankemeyer.

All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale (724-693-2800). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, in memory of Bob.
