Obituary for Robert Neal "Bojak" Bozic

Robert Neil “Bojak” Bozic, 69, of McDonald, Robinson Township, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, in his home.

Robert was born on September 18, 1953, in Midway, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lauff Bozic. Bojak was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

Bojak retired from Arlington Auto body, he also spent a number of years working for PAM Transportation as an over the road truck driver. Bob was a skilled fisherman. He enjoyed his time outdoors with his friends sitting in his chair by the water, surrounded by his fishing gear including his hand made lures. Fishing always brought a smile to his face. In his free time, Bob also enjoyed woodcarving. His talented hands and creative mind, always lead him to create such beautiful work such as fish and flowers. Bojak would paint them and so proudly place the wood carved flowers in the yard and hang the fish around outside. Bojak also loved camping and gardening. He always made sure that he was outside tending to his flower and plants all spring and summer long. Bob loved riding his bike. Biking was something that allowed him to stay active and also a way to see everyone he knew in town.

Surviving are his siblings, Joseph (Patty) Bozic, Janet Bozic, Harold Bozic, sister-in-law Linda Bozic, nieces and nephews; Pam Dankovchik, Lee Bozic, Dawn Christy, Jodi Love, Jeff Bozic and Cort Bozic, along with several great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Bojak is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Bozic.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John St., Midway (724-796-3301). A Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center-Washington, 470 Johnston Road #10, Washington, PA 15301.
