Obituary for Patricia L. Tupta (King)

Patricia L. King Tupta, 76, of Hickory, Mount Pleasant Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in Washington Hospital.

Patricia was born on March 17, 1947 in Burgettstown, a daughter of the late Jules P. and Anna Elizabeth Davis King.

Mrs. Tupta was a retired retail finance manager for CoGos Corporate Office. She was also a member of St. Alphonsus Church in McDonald.

Patricia was a graduate of Burgettstown High School and went on to receive her associates degree from Carlow College. Patricia became a member of the Eastern Star where she served as a past worthy matron. As the years went on and Patricias family grew larger, there was one thing that filled her heart, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved nurturing, caring and spending all her time with them. They made her feel young again and always put such a big smile on her face. She enjoyed knitting and building puzzles. Patricia also enjoyed getting out of the house and getting together with her family and friends. Patricia enjoyed getting out of the house and spending time with her family, which was always the perfect day for her.

Surviving are her children; Colby (Phyllis Ochoa) Griffith, David (Belinda) Griffith, Wendy (Kevin) Taylor, Mark (Patty) Tupta and Charles A. Tupta, grandchildren; David Griffith, Kimberly Carrabia, Brian and Garrett Griffith, Rylee Sparrow, Tayler Foley and Lindsey Griffith Valentine, great grandchildren; Harley, Andrew, Gavin, Colbie and Asher Griffith, Jessa, Rylee and Raegan Neidorfer, Lenox Kotouch, Damian Foster, Charlee, Lainey and Hadley Sparrow, Vivian K. Valentine, Reese Proffitt and Lucas, Kenzie and Landon Carrabia, siblings, Bob (Shirley) King, Shirley (Paul) Henderson, Dan (Kathy) King, David King and Debbie (Rob) Galagher, her companion, Gary Totten and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Tupta, her grandson, Joshua Christian Taylor, and siblings, Brenda Halcomb, Donnie King and Elizabeth Bostick.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore the Famer Parish – St. Alphonsus Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
