Obituary for Mary Lou Kelly (Favand)
Mary Lou (Favand) Kelly, 88, of Oakdale passed away peacefully in her home on June 28, 2022.
She was born on March 25, 1934, in Sturgeon, a daughter of the late Louis and Elnora (Sparkenbaugh) Favand.
Any time you would go to visit Mary Lou she would always try to feed you her wonderful cooking. And when you would leave you could always find her in the kitchen window waving goodbye. Mary Lou was a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She made caring for her family her most important role in life. Mary Lou and her husband raised two beautiful children, who she was so proud of. And the day she became a grandma, Mary Lou was complete. A little part of Mary Lou lives on through all the laughs, smiles and her family that she loved so much.
Surviving is her husband, Richard “Dick” Kelly, her children, Richard (Barbara) Kelly, Jr. and Lori (Darrell) Yecko. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Malorie (David) Hague, Dana (Michael) Vargon and Joe (Crystal) Yecko; and great grandchildren, Andrew and Samantha Hague, Penelope, Hailey and Sawyer Vargon.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Gerald Favand, Eugene Favand, Virginia Pierrard, Wilda Logut, Alice Robertson and June Huart.
There will be a private gathering for Mary Lou’s family at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Oakdale Volunteer Fire Department.
