Obituary for Mary Agnes DallaPiazza (Dourlain)

Mary Agnes Dourlain DallaPiazza, 89, of Oakdale, North Fayette Township, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in St. Clair Hospital.

Mary was born on March 11, 1934, in Scott Township, a daughter of the late Louis and Catherine Bringer Dourlain.

Mrs. DallaPiazza was a devout member of St. Patrick’s Church, in Noblestown. She loved volunteering and giving back to her church. Her faith was in the Lord was very strong and she enjoyed serving him. Many of her days were spent within the church helping with different functions or anything she could assist with. A joy of Mary’s life was tending to her flowers. She loved filling her home with flowers to match every season and holiday. Mary was constantly fluffing and adding to her flower arrangements, making sure that they were perfect! Being outside and tending to her flowers was something that gave her great pleasure during the warmer months.

Mary had a large heart that she filled with love for each person and creature she met. Mary was an animal lover, of all kinds, but especially cats and dogs. Her caring soul and gentle heart made her the easiest person to love. Mary was the perfect, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There was nothing that she would not do for her family. They were her pride and joy. Watching them all grow into the outstanding people they are today, is something that she took great pride in.

Surviving are her children, John Kalnas, Patricia “Patty” (Donald) Martin, and Brenda DallaPiazza, grandchildren, Ashley (Mark) Collins, Matthew (Laura) Martin, and Mark Martin, great grandchildren, Victoria and Hillary Collins and Reese and Rowan Martin, and sisters, Catherine Lytle, Susie Jester and Millie Dugan.

Along with her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert L. DallaPiazza, and siblings, Charles, Isabelle, John, Lou, Tom, Frank and Walter.
