Obituary for Marsha G. Sorba (Hastings)
Marsha G. (Hastings) Sorba, 81, of Oakdale, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, in St. Clair Hospital.
Mrs. Sorba was born on January 30, 1940, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late John O. Hastings and Grace (Fitzmaurice).
Marsha was a retired proof reader for Deluxe Check Printing. She lived a life of service, she enjoyed helping anyone she could and always with a smile. Being a wife, mother and grandmother, was her most important rule in life. She has a special love for her five grandchildren. When Marsha was “Grammie” she truly was her best self.
Surviving are her children, William (Roby) Sorba, Beth (Mark) Jezowicz, and Greg (Maureen) Sorba, grandchildren, Hannah and Emily Jezowicz, and Collin, Logan and Molly Sorba, siblings, James (the late Carol) Hastings and Janet (Tim) Davin, brother-in-law, Joseph Green, and her nieces, great nieces, a great nephew, and cousins.
Along with her parents, Marsha is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Sorba (2017), sister, Susan Green and nephew, Timothy Green.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 5000 Noblestown Rd., Oakdale (724-695-2800). A service will be held following viewing at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital, in loving memory of Marsha.
