Marilyn Scheers
Marilyn, 73, of Oakdale, died Thursday, May 27, 2021, in St. Clair Hospital.
She was born October 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Murphy Zollars.
Mrs. Scheers was previously employed in the service industry at The Oakdale Diner, Denny’s and the Embassy Suites Hotel. She was a volunteer with Meals On Wheels in the Oakdale area. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Jodi (Joseph) Murn and Matthew (Tracy Milletary) Scheers; grandchildren,
Emily and Elizabeth (Jarrett Bordo) Murn and Abigail and PJ Scheers. She is also survived by her siblings, Terry Zollars, Evelyn McConnell, Nancy Scott, Bonnie Inskipt, Judy Tennyson, Donna Dunn, Patricia
Wauthier Kathy Bushmire, and Carol Everingham. and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scheers (2018) and her siblings, Sandra Vogelsberger, Jerry, Jack, Ronald, Bob, Billy, Debbie and Karen Zollars
Visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald (724-926-2800). A service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday in the funeral home.
Interment be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Southwest Meals On Wheels.
