Obituary for Lucille Madeline Sartori (Scarcell)

Lucille Madeline (Scarcell) Sartori, 94, of McDonald, Cecil Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in St. Clair Hospital.

Lucille was born on June 10, 1928, in Houston, PA, a daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Oliverio) Scarcell.

Mrs. Sartori was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Church in McDonald. She and her late husband, Hubert, never missed a Saturday night Mass. Lucille carried her values as a Christian very highly. She dedicated herself to caring for others. Lucille was always volunteering with the local Meals on Wheels group and earlier in life was a participating member of the Christian Mothers Association. Her caring nature was even more evident when she became a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Sartori loved her family so deeply and she was so proud of them and the lives that they have all created for themselves. There was nothing more rewarding to her than knowing her family was succeeding in life. Lucille and her husband worked hard to raise such a strong and loving family, and they truly did just that.

Surviving are her children; Joseph (Kimberly) Sartori, of Cecil, James (Karla) Sartori, of Franklin Park, Yvonne (Wayne) Bayer, of Upper St. Clair, grandchildren; Jonathan (Kristin) Bayer, Justin (Kelly) Bayer, Dawn (Ryan) Hudock, Kristy (Chris) Scarmazzi, Jamie (Chris) Falbo, and Samantha Sartori, ten great grandchildren, a sister, Barbara Felton, of Canonsburg, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, St. Alphonsus Worship Site. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
