Obituary for Louis P. Dallas Jr.

Louis P. Dallas Jr., 88, of McDonald, Robinson Twp., passed away on August 11, 2021.

Mr. Dallas was born on October 25, 1932, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late, Louis and Jennie (Magrini) Dallas Sr.

Louis was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was also a retired iron worker for the Local #3 and a member of St. Alphonsus Church in McDonald. He loved building model airplanes, gardening, golfing and working on his cars. And when that wasn’t enough, Louis in his later years, decided to try and learn how to play the saxophone. Louis was always a busy man, but he made sure to take time for his family. He was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather and an all-around good human being. He was funny and warm, enjoyed reading and writing poetry, and loved music, especially jazz.

Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years, Nancy (Telshaw) Dallas, his boys, Mark (Caprice) Dallas, Scott Dallas, and Steven (Tina Mollica) Dallas, grandchildren, Matthew (Keara) Dallas and Brittany Dallas, great grandchildren, Charlotte and Grayson Dallas and his best buddy, Max, his cat.
Along with his parents, Louis is preceded in death by his son, Bradley Dallas and siblings, Ronald Dallas and Betty Bastecki.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Noon, at St. Isadore the Farmer Parish – St. Alphonsus Church, McDonald. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, where military honors will be performed by VFW 191. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local VFW, in memory of Louis.
