Lois J. Mesta Scarfone, 92, of Imperial, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Caring Heights Community Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Lois was born on November 7, 1930, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Fred John and Hilda Sehering Mesta.
Mrs. Scarfone was a retired baker. She spent many years at the local Eat-in-Park, where she brought so many smiles to her customers with her sweet treats. Lois was a member of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish – St. Columbkille Church in Imperial. In her free time, Lois loved being active. She was an excellent bowler and was a part of the 200 club. Even while staying at Caring Heights, Lois was still bowling and enjoyed every second of it. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her fellow community folk. Lois loved to win and she knew just how good she was at both games.
Nothing was more important to Mrs. Scarfone than that of her family. She loved her children so dearly and was so proud to be their mother. They were her biggest blessings and she was so thankful for each special relationship she shared with them.
Surviving is her daughter, Michelle (Thomas) Schimmel, son, Anthony Scarfone III, five grandchildren seven great grandchildren and a sister Mary Lou Linke.
Along with her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony J. Scarfone Jr. (1996), sons Charles F. Tully and Jeffrey J. Tully, siblings, Henry Mesta, Catherine Stremple, and Doris Yanosky.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 305 Main St., Imperial (724-695-2800). Inurnment will occur at St. Columbkille Cemetery.
