Obituary for Jean Alderdice-Liesong

Jean Alderdice-Liesong, 62, of McDonald, passed away on October 22nd in St. Clair Hospital. She was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Schreck) Alderdice. Surviving are her husband Fred Liesong, sister, Patricia Alderdice, brother, Gary (Nicole) Alderdice, sister-in-law, Cindy Postilnick, nephews, Jake and Max Alderdice, Ethan Morrison and a great nephew, Brighton Alderdice. Along with her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her sister, Joan Alderdice and brother, Paul Alderdice. Melissa Williams, Linda Hareza and Cheryl Entress were life-long close friends considered as family too.
Jean had a strong work ethic and was a fierce competitor in the world of technology sales working over the years at ADP, Inc., Ultimate Software Group, Computer Associates, Champion Solutions Group and New Horizons. She immensely enjoyed the people whom she worked with and the challenges of her profession. Known as a Sales Super Star in almost every sales position she held over her entire career, winning many quota busting awards and qualifying for numerous Presidents Clubs earning trips to Hawaii, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico and the Florida Keys to name a few.
The Steeler Nation and Pittsburgh Pirates have lost a true fan. Never was there a time when she was not attending or watching a game on television. Jean also enjoyed vacationing in St. Martin, working on her jigsaw puzzles, hitting her goal of over 12K+ walking steps every day, socializing with her many friends and loving her cats, Rocky and Dilly.
Although we try, there are no words that could ever describe the exuberant soul Jean was or how much she will be missed. If there were a tapestry of Jean’s disposition and spirit, it would be full of vibrant colors. Throughout her life she never lost the sense that each day was part of a great adventure to be lived to the fullest. Her zest for life, optimism, courage and resiliency were beyond inspiring. In the physical sense, she is gone, however her indomitable spirit lives on in all who knew her.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 5th at 10:00 AM at Corpus Christi Parish, formerly St. Barbara Church, 45 Prestley Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
