Obituary for Hallie M. Edwards

Hallie M. Edwards, 82, of Presto, Collier Township, passed away peacefully on, Saturday, January 14, 2023, in her home.

Hallie was born on January 30, 1940, in Maryland, a daughter of the late Porter Edwards and Jane Edwards Sutton and step-father, Charles Sutton.

Hallie worked as a buyer for U.S. Air for 35 years. Her meticulous and organized nature lead her to being very successful in her work. She enjoyed her years there and all the knowledge she was able to gain. Hallie enjoyed traveling after her retirement. She and her wife loved to travel to the outdoors and spend time camping together. They also enjoyed traveling to the beach, where Hallie would lay in the sand all day. Another passion of Hallie’s was traveling with her softball team, the Pittsburgh Diamonds, where she played first base. As active as Hallie was, this was her favorite past time. Running the bases and playing the game she loved so much was truly her perfect day.

Hallie was lucky enough to spend a wonderful 44 years, with the love of her life, Sandra, who survives. The love that the two of them had and still have for each other is unique and something that is rare to find. They loved each other through thick and thin and always made sure to care for each other in their moments of need. Hallie’s caring nature is something that everyone will remember her for. She did not have a hateful bone in her body, she loved everyone that she met. If you had ever met Hallie before, you know she treated you like family. Truly, there was nothing more important to her than her family. Not even the Pittsburgh Steelers, whom she loved no matter if they won or lost a game.

Hallie was inseparable from her family. She loved gathering with them as often as she could. Whether that meant during the holidays, for pool parties, camping or simply playing board games on Thursday nights. Hallie never missed a chance to spend time with the people she loved. In her later years Hallie and her wife began traveling with the Muenster family catering company, Kitchen Magician. Hallie’s helping hand was a big blessing to the Muenster family. She was always the most kind, gentle and loving person to their entire family and to everyone she ever met. The way Hallie expressed her love is something that will be forever missed. But, a little piece of her lives on through all her acts of kindness she has shown to each person that crossed her path.

Surviving is the love of her life and best friend, Sandra P. Muenster, siblings, Buck Edwards, Linda Bungard, and Willy Edwards, 23 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Hallie is preceded in death by her siblings, Luke Edwards, Jake Sutton and Wayne Sutton.

All arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Memorial service will be at a latter date. Please contact Sandra Muenster at 412-260-6066, if you would like to attend.
