Obituary for Gloria J. Fischer (Vereneck)
Gloria J. (Vereneck) Fischer, 74, of McDonald, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Weirton Medical Center.
Gloria was born on September 3, 1947, in Soho, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Sikora) Vereneck.
Gloria was a manager and head of sales for Gimbles at South Hills Village Mall. Gloria had a creative soul, she greatly enjoyed ceramics, she had many of her creations and finds within her home. During the spring and summer months, Gloria was always outdoors gardening. She always made sure to plant flowers that attracted hummingbirds and butterflies. Gloria loved when the hummingbirds and butterflies would come visit her flowers, they always brought a smile to her face. Gloria loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything. They were her reason to keep going through life and she cherished every second with them. Gloria always made sure that her family was cared for and loved in every way possible.
Surviving is her loving husband, Gregory Fischer, children; Keith (Betsy) Fischer and Anisa (Richard) Ward, grandchildren; Dr. Hannah Fischer, Darian, Dalton and Sophie Ward.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Gloria.
