Obituary for Georgina Dufour (Cooper)

Georgina (Cooper) Dufour, 83, of McDonald, North Fayette Twp., passed away on July 16, 2021, in her home.

Mrs. Dufour was born on August 31, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late George Joseph and Malvina (Mitchell) Cooper.

Georgina was a retired bagger for Joy Dog Food in Oakdale. She enjoyed reading a good book, building puzzles, playing card games, and the occasional bingo tournament. However, her time that she could spend with her family was the most important. Mrs. Dufour had a special love for her family, being with them always brought a smile to her face. The most important day of Georgina’s week was Sunday. Every Sunday, all of her family would come together and have a big dinner. There were lots of memories made and laughter shared around the dinner table, that she and her family will cherish forever.

Surviving is her daughter, Joyce (Tony) Dorn, grandchildren, Leanne (Jason) Roberts, and Rachel Dorn, great-grandson, Exander Roberts, sister, Maryann Mitchell.

Georgina is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Paul Dufour Sr., daughter, Beth Anne Dufour, son, Donald Paul Dufour Jr., daughter, Gaye (Jim) Phillips, siblings, Ardith Gay Cooper, Loraine Dufour, Emerson Leadbitter, Milton Leadbitter, Bonnielee McGrogan, and Yvonne Johns.

At the request of the deceased all arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800).
