Obituary for George Edward Hewlett
George Edward Hewlett, Jr., 65, of Oakdale, North Fayette Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at home.
George was born on April 15, 1957, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late, George E. and Elsie Jean Weis Hewlett.
George was retired from Sam’s Club. Outside of work George enjoyed being outdoors. One of his favorite activities was golfing. He loved spending time with his son, Christian and his golfing buddies traveling all over to different golf courses and playing a round together. George also loved taking walks around the local trails with his wife, Cathy and their beloved dog Louie. George and Cathy loved their time together on their walks, it was always so peaceful and relaxing. Family was very important to George. His wife, son and relatives were his world and he loved them all dearly.
Surviving is his loving wife of 36 years, Catherine “Cathy” Harms Hewlett, son, Christian (Chelsea Jeffers) Hewlett, sister, Donna Hewlett, nephew, Derek (Caitlin) Harrison, three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc. and Crematory, 305 Main St., Imperial (724-695-2800). A Service will be held immediately following the viewing at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
