Obituary for Fredrick J. Pfender

Fredrick J. Pfender, 77, of Washington, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in Washington Hospital.
 
Fredrick was born on June 26, 1945, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Fredrick J. and Norma Cuda Pfender II.
 
Fred was a salesman for a local electric supplier. Mr. Pfender was a member of Cross Connections Church in McDonald. In his free time Fred enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved being outdoors, it was also so relaxing and such a special time for him. There was nothing that Fred loved more than being with his family. They always brought him so much joy and filled his heart with so much love. Being a father and grandfather were his favorite roles in life and he cherished them so greatly.
 
Surviving are his children, Keith (Amy) Pfender, Jenny (Jerry) Shinsky, Chrissy Pfender, and Veronica (Adam) Eubanks, grandchildren, Hayden (Hannah) Eubanks, Autumn Eubanks, Jonah Pfender and Emily Pfender, siblings, Judith Haseleu and Janice (David) Koziel and numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved like his own.
 
Along with his parents, Fredrick is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine S. Fedorovich Pfender and brother, Rev. Father Terrance Pfender.
 
A Memorial Service will be held on May 20, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Cross Connections Alliance Church, 201 Valley Street, McDonald. Inurnment will take place of Monday, May 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. All are asked to meet at the cemetery between 10-10:15 a.m.
 
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the McDonald Meals on Wheels. Honors will be performed by Canonsburg VFW 191.
