Obituary for Francis (Skip) M. Schwab Jr.
Francis M. (Skip) Schwab, Jr., 79, of McDonald, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021, in his home.
Skip was born on August 28, 1941, a son of the late Francis and Ruth (Strain) Schwab Sr.
Mr. Schwab was a retired electrician for Jerry Thomas Construction. He was also a proud member of the Imperial Beagle Club and McDonald Sportsman Club. Francis enjoyed spending time with all his friends at these different clubs and catching up with his community. Mr. Schwab also loved going camping and stockcar racing. He was his best self when he was outdoors, hunting with the many, many hunting dogs he had over the years. Spending time with his loving wife of 60 years and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, is what completed him. They always had a way to put a smile on his face, and Francis always made them feel so loved.
Surviving is his loving wife, Shirlee (Scott) Schwab, children, Robert (Denise) Schwab and John W. (Michelle) Schwab, grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Tollis, Danielle (Jason) Tremblay, John M. Schwab, and Haillie Schwab, great grandchildren, Santino, Marco, and Chance, and sister, Betty Marshall.
A Military Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 28, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017. Honors will be performed by VFW Post 191. Friends and family are asked to arrive between 10 and 10:15, on the day of the service, and to park at the visitor’s shelter.
