Obituary for Edward M. McElhaney
Edward M. McElhaney, 77, of Sturgeon, South Fayette Township, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in his home.
Mr. McElhaney was born on November 19, 1944, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Edward and Marie (Pfeffer) McElhaney.
Ed was previously a truck driver for Angelo Lane, Inc. Ed loved fishing and hunting and spending time outdoors. He especially loved working on cars and throwing wrenches. Ed was a handy man and liked to fix anything he could with all his hammers. Mr. McElhaney was also a member of the Sturgeon VFD and the Sturgeon Belgium Club. Ed married the love of his life, Veronica “Ronnie”, 56 years ago on August 13, 1966. Ed loved Ronnie so dearly and was so thankful for all her care over the years. Together they built a family, and Ed was so proud to have two hard working sons, that cared for him so well.
Surviving is his best friend and wife, Veronica “Ronnie” (Lutynsky) McElhaney, son, Joseph “Joe” (Carrie Kramer) and Edward (Leah Ellen) McElhaney, grandchildren, Nathan McElhaney and Katelyn McGivern
At the request of the deceased, all arrangements are private and entrusted to Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800).
