Obituary for David L. Chynoweth
David L. Chynoweth, 83, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in South Hills Health and Rehabilitation and Wellness.
David was born on March 6, 1940, in Washington, a son of the late Harold and Edith Musser Chynoweth.
Mr. Chynoweth was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Weirton Steel. Outside of work David enjoyed being outdoors and spending time on the golf course. David loved golfing and also bowling. David enjoyed being active, especially stopping in to local place to pick up a new scratch off tickets.
Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Nancy Stilwell Chynoweth, children, Debra A. (John) Kubiak and Dave (Mary Beth) Chynoweth, step-children, Jessica (Michael) Collins and Jason McConnell, grandchildren, Briana and Makenna Chynoweth, six step-grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his siblings Wayne Chynoweth and Beverly Newman.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A full Military Burial Service will be held on at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Honors will be performed by Canonsburg VFW 191.
