Obituary for Constance R. Martin (Reynolds)

Constance R. (Reynolds) Martin, 95, of McDonald, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Bridgeville Rehabilitation & Care.

Constance was born on August 27, 1927, in McDowell, Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert Lawrence and Bessie Mae (Ralston) Reynolds. She lived for many years in Churchville and Crimora, VA before moving to McDonald, PA to be close to her children.

Mrs. Martin knew how to keep her hands busy! Constance loved to paint anything she could find, see or think of. Over the years she created beautiful scenic artwork of landscapes and so much more. Creating new things was her talent. Constance was gifted in knitting and crocheting. She also had the talent of playing guitar and singing hymns and was a wonderful cook. In her younger years, Constance enjoyed tending to her garden that she would plant every spring.

Through the struggles of life Constance had one grounding factor, her faith. Nothing was more important to Constance than her love for the Lord. She cherished the life that He had given her and lived it to its fullest. Constance raised a beautiful family that knew the importance of kindness and love. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and the lives that they have created for themselves. Constance was the type of woman that after meeting her you never forgot her and because of that her legacy will forever live on. Her goal in life was to be a prayer warrior and witness for God.

Surviving are her daughter, Debra (David) Sunderlin Radovich, grandchildren, Robert (Sara) Sunderlin, Shelia (Jesse) Sunderlin Litman, Erin Sunderlin, step-grandchild, Sparky (Lori) Zervos, great grandchildren, Amelia, Sadie, J.J, Julian, Riley and Addy, along sister, Emma Jean (Ronald) Hiner, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Constance was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Eli Sunderlin and second husband, Luther C. Martin, twin-brother, John Reynolds, and brother, Robert Reynolds as well as her two sons, Robert Daniel Sunderlin and John Carson Sunderlin.
