Obituary for Christine M. Shuble (Trappen)

Christine M. (Trappen) Shuble, 73, of McDonald, Mt. Pleasant Twp., passed away on November 9, 2021, in the Donnell House of Washington.

She was born on October 3, 1948, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Florence (Smith) Trappen.

Chris was a jack of all trades. She loved to work and spent time working for US Air and waitressing for some time, but her main role in life was being a homemaker. Chris loved to care for others, especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. She would cook amazing meals and sweets for all to enjoy. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in McDonald. There she became one of the original helpers for the annual “Cookie Walk”. Her baking skills surpassed many and always left everyone satisfied. With Christine’s caring nature, she also became a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. There she was able to care for those in their time of need. Chris’s heart gifted everyone with so much love, and she will forever be missed.

Surviving is her loving husband of 51 years, John P. Shuble Jr., children, John (Jennifer) Shuble III, and Kellie Shuble, grandchildren, John “Jack” Shuble IV, William Shuble and Margaret “Maggie” Shuble.
Along with her parents, Christine Is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

A Mass will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 12:30 p.m. in St. Isidore the Farmer Parish – St. Alphonsus Worship Site. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
