Obituary for Carolyn E. "TT" Schroeffel (Gilbert)
Carolyn E. (Gilbert) Schroeffel, 76, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
TT was born on June 18, 1946, in Primrose, a daughter of the late Harry William and Louise G. (Miller) Gilbert, Sr.
Mrs. Schroeffel was a retired pharmacy technician for Canonsburg General Hospital for over 13 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star organization. TT was also the most caring and loving, wife, mother, grandmother and neighbor. Her life focused around the relationships with her family and friends. She never missed a tennis match, band competition, football game, dance recital, or really anything that dealt with her daughters and granddaughter. Christmas was her favorite season. She would go under all the windows in the neighborhood and ring bells to let the children know Santa was coming. TT was always good for advice, a laugh or a difficult conversation. Although at times opinionated, she wanted the best for everyone she knew.
Surviving are her daughters, Keri (Paul) Schroeffel and Keli (Corey) Schroeffel Ballard, and granddaughter, Olivia Jo Azilee Ballard.
Along with her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph M. Schroeffel, siblings, Joyce Sacco, Florence Blakley, Harry W. Gilbert, Jr., Margaret L. Babbs, Nancy L. Criquellion and John J. Gilbert.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, January 13, 2023, 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Lighthouse for Men, 1820 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301
