Obituary for Carol Gamble (Cooper)

Carol Ann Cooper Gamble, 86, formerly of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024, in Morningside House of Sarasota.

Carol was born on March 20, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Gleason and Gail Droz Cooper.

She was a graduate of West Allegheny High School where she loved to cheer on the football team. Carol took on many professional roles throughout her career including Co-Owner of Pitt Express Systems and Leasing Consultant at The Pennsylvanian before retiring as an Administrative Assistant.

Originally from Oakdale, Carol resided in Moon Township for many years where she raised her family.

Her world revolved around her family and her love for them was unwavering. She lived for Friday nights, when the family would get together and laugh about old stories and sing songs. Her faith in God was front and center in her life and she freely shared her devotion with others. Carol will be remembered as a mother, grandmother and great grandma who had a special light and was singularly devoted to her family.

Surviving are her children, JD Gamble III, Thomas Gamble and Amy (Mark) Helfferich, and Nancy Gamble, grandchildren, Jocelyn (Shawn), Jaimee (Matthew), Joshua (fiancé Sarah), Zachary, Madison (fiancé Jake) and Cole, brother, Jeffery Cooper (Kathy), sisters-in-laws, Mary Lou and Ruth Cooper, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her siblings, James Cooper, Joseph Cooper (Kathy), Douglas Cooper and Mertie Little (Robert).

A Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Noblestown United Presbyterian Church, Oakdale. Interment will follow at Robinson Run Cemetery.
