Obituary for Beulah Veronica Newton (Beecher)

All attending Beulah Newtons visitation and service are asked to wear cheerful colors, in honor of her.

Beulah Veronica Beecher Newton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on, Thursday, February 16, 2023.

Beulah was born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Esme Brown and Aubrey Beecher.

Beulah was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was proud to share her faith with others and it filled her life with so much joy. Beulah’s favorite times were spent in her church, Valley Presbyterian in Imperial, PA. She allowed the spirit of the Lord to move her and it showed during her times of worship. Her voice would echo in the church as she let out the most rejoiceful “Amen!” Or when Beulah would sing at the top of her lungs and dance to the music played during service. You knew Jesus filled her heart with so much happiness and joy in that moment and in all the moments of her life!

Ms. Newton’s Jamaican heritage taught her how to provide for her family. She knew that through the Lord, she would always be provided for. Beulah was a well-educated lady as well as the foundation for her immediate and extended family. Beulah retired as a Research Analyst for a media distribution company in New York City. She spent the majority of her working life as an Accountant, working for various well-known organizations in Kingston, Jamaica. After long days of work, Beulah would come home and prepare wonderful meals for her family and what seemed like half the neighborhood. She certainly knew her way around the kitchen and her food was always prepared with an abundance of love, character and flavor!

Beulah’s growing family was something that she cherished so dearly. She immensely enjoyed her time with them and it was consistently filled with an abundance of laughter. Beulah’s infectious smile and contagious laugh were some of her best attributes. The love that she gave to everyone she met was something that made you feel beyond special. As her family grew, her role extended from not just being a mother but also a grandmother. She cherished this and it gave her life even more meaning. Beulah loved her family dearly and she cherished every moment with them. As a result, her legacy will live on through all the lives she has touched for generations to come.

Surviving are her children; Courtney Robinson, Michelle Newton and Ron Newton, grandchildren; Kayon Robinson, Nickay Swaby, Tahjae Robinson, Adrianne Newton, Ryan Newton, Jonathan Newton and Janelle Newton, two great grandchildren, and siblings; Errol Beecher, Maxine Beecher-Martin, Ernest Beecher, Patrick Beecher, Orville Beecher, Barbara Beecher, Ainsley Beecher, and Elaine Beecher.

Along with her parents, Beulah is preceded in death by her siblings, Howard Beecher, Judith Beecher and Noel Beecher.
