Obituary for Bartolemo John "Barry" Piacenza

Bartolemo John “Barry” Piacenza, 73, of McDonald, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in St. Clair Hospital.

Barry was born on October 9, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late BartoLemo and Vera Jean (Feralli) Piacenza.

Mr. Piacenza enjoyed educating himself. He received a B.S. from Bethany College and his Masters in Public Administration from the American University of Washington D.C. After school, Barry worked for North East Florida Planning Council for 20 years are a land use planner. After some time Barry began working for the Waterfront in Hilton Head with Homestead Zoning and Land Division. Barry enjoyed traveling and always to warm areas. He loved these warm areas so much that he always made sure to maintain a job within them. Barry worked and helped build Keauhai KOA Resort Co. in Hawaii, KSB Estate- single family homes, where he maintained the best homes in Hawaii, The Villas and he was VP of realtors in Hilton Head. His most amazing accomplishment was founding the College of Hilton Head.

Barry was an outstanding man full of intelligence and creativity, only leading him to a successful life that he had always dreamt of.

Surviving are his cousins, Helena Baker, Kathy Riggle and Kay Houston, and aunt, Jennie Ferralli.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his cousin, Marlene Hancher.
