Obituary for Ann C. Kunkle (Evans)

Ann C. (Evans) Kunkle, 100, of McDonald, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021, in McMurray Hills Manor.

Ann was born on April 24, 1921, in Cherry Valley, a daughter of the late Mike and Jennie (Luketic) Evans.

Mrs. Kunkle lived a beautiful and full 100 years on this Earth. She was a devout member of St. Alphonsus Church, in McDonald, she cared for her church like it was her own home. She was also very active with the McDonald and Cecil Senior Citizens. When she wasn’t on the run, she enjoyed playing cards and crocheting for her friends and especially her grandchildren. Ann was a family woman, she loved to be around her family. They always brightened up her day and provided her with the perfect amount of laughter and love.

Surviving are her children, Marcia (Bill) Sartori, Marilyn (Gene) Colpo, Therese Presutti, and George (Donna) Kunkle, grandchildren, Bill Sartori, David Sartori, Jennifer Colpo, Gina Tarr, Melissa Labart, Mathew Kunkle, Karrie Lukin, Jason Presutti, Joshua Presutti, and Chelsea McDonald, and 19 greatgrandchildren.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband George E. Kunkle (1962), daughter, Joyce Kunkle, and siblings, Joseph, Michael, John, George, Frank and Mary Evans.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Ave., McDonald (724-926-2800). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. in St. Alphonsus Church – St. Isadore the Farmer Parish. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
