DELBERT D. WHOOLERY
Delbert D. Whoolery passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the age of 80,surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 13, 1938, in Mather, PA, son of the late William (Dutch) Whoolery and Mary Devecka and stepson of Milan (Max) Devecka.
Delbert was a 1958 graduate of Carmichaels High School and played on a championship football team.
He worked for US Airways for over 35 years. He was a lifetime member of McDonald Sportsmen’s Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an active member and trustee of Center United Presbyterian Church in Midway.
Delbert is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Patricia Whoolery and sons David (Carolyn Whoolery of Leesburg, VA and Daniel (Raegan) Whoolery of McDonald. Also surviving are grandchildren, Rachel, Taylor and Kayla Whoolery.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Carter and sisters Carol and Sarah who died in infancy.
Friends will be received Friday, December 7, 2018 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John St., Midway (724-796-3301. Funeral service will be held at l:30 p.m Saturday at the Center U.P. Church, 110 Washington Avenue, Midway. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.
Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway.
